Who is responsible for your information

The business responsible for information collected through this site is iGlobe Transport & Solutions, 1866 Rue Montcalm, Saint-Hubert, QC J4T 0B1, Canada.

Law 25 requires that a person be designated as responsible for the protection of personal information, and that their title and contact details be published. iGlobe has to confirm that designation; until then, requests go through the contact details below and are handled by the management of the company.

What information is collected

This site collects only what you type into one of the two forms. There is no account to create, no payment, no customer portal, and nothing is collected in the background.

The means of collection is the form itself: you decide what to write and you can stop at any point.

• Contact form: name, email, and if you provide them, company and phone, plus the content of your message.
• Quote form: the same contact details, plus the service requested, a description of the cargo, quantities, dimensions and weight if you know them, pickup and delivery locations, frequency, urgency, preferred dates and time windows, specific requirements and your comments.
• Technical information: your IP address is used at the moment of sending to limit automated submissions. It is not kept in a log for that purpose.
• No sensitive information is requested. Please do not send a social insurance number, banking details or health information through these forms.

What the information is used for

It is used to assess your request, prepare a reply or a quote, and communicate with you about that request. That is the only purpose.

It is not used to sign you up for a newsletter or for advertising. The site has no subscription box and no box is ticked in advance.

Your consent and how to withdraw it

By sending a form, you consent to the information it contains being used to handle your request. That consent is asked for separately, for this specific purpose, and it is free: you can also simply call us.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@iglobetransport.com. Withdrawal stops the use of your information for that request; it does not undo what was already done before the withdrawal.

Who it is shared with and where it travels

The content of the forms is sent by email to the iGlobe team through an email delivery provider, and is handled during that send by the hosting provider of this site.

The names of those providers will be listed here once the final configuration is confirmed. Depending on the provider chosen, your information could be processed or stored outside Québec; a privacy impact assessment will be carried out before the service goes live, as Law 25 requires.

We do not sell any information and we do not pass it to anyone other than the team handling your request.

Retention and protection

The site does not store your information in a database: it passes it to the team and keeps nothing on its side.

How long the team then keeps the emails it receives is a matter of iGlobe internal policy and will be stated here once it is set. Exchanges with this site use HTTPS, and access to the requests received is limited to the people who have to handle them.

Your rights

You can exercise the following rights by writing to info@iglobetransport.com. Please include the approximate date of your request so we can find it. We answer within the time limits set by law.

• Access: obtain the information we hold about you.
• Correction: have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected.
• Withdrawal of consent: stop the use of your information.
• Portability: receive the information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format.
• De-indexing and deletion: ask that the dissemination of a piece of information stop, or that a hyperlink stop giving access to it, in the cases provided for by law.
• If our answer does not satisfy you, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Cookies, analytics and profiling

This site uses no tracking cookies, no analytics tool and no technology that can identify you, locate you or build a profile of you. That is why it shows no consent banner: there would be nothing to consent to.

If such technology were added later, you would be informed beforehand, it would be off by default, and you would be told how to turn it on, as Law 25 requires.

Confidentiality incidents

If an incident affects your information, iGlobe takes reasonable measures to limit its consequences, records the incident in a register and, if the incident presents a risk of serious injury, notifies the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to external services such as a map, WhatsApp or a Facebook page. Those services apply their own policies, over which we have no control.

This page may change if the way we collect or use information changes. The date of the last approved revision will appear at the top of the page.
